Through a TICE Project, individuals can take advantage of a unique opportunity to investigate and experiment with multiple creative practices, cultivate their competencies, and obtain firsthand practice. In addition, this is an excellent way for students to build up their portfolio of work and receive assistance in the process.

You may have a limited number of students, for example, ranging from one to five, who could benefit from TICE projects for the purpose of completing Extended Projects, Arts Awards, or simply for personal growth.

By equipping your students with the proper support, they can explore self-learning and be guided towards reaching remarkable outcomes at their own pace.

Guidance, advice and support.

Through a mix of online activities, employer interviews, and virtual skills development masterclasses, our projects will connect students with experienced mentors and creative professionals who can offer guidance and support as they explore their ambitions. Our mentors can provide feedback, offer advice, and help your students develop their skills and talents.

WHO ARE TICE PROJECTS AIMED At?

SCHOOLs

You may have a handful of students throughout the school between the ages of 14-19 that could benefit from taking part in an industry-led TICE project. Their project can be used to fulfil the requirements of EPQs, and Arts Awards, go towards work experience and much more.

INDIVIDUALS (14- 19 years old)

If your school is not part of a TICE initiative, these projects offer a perfect opportunity to delve into the world of creativity and enhance your individual portfolio. Professional support is available throughout, so there's no need to worry about taking the plunge alone. Additionally, for those who have already participated in TICE through their school, this is the ideal opportunity to take part again.

WHAT TYPE OF TICE Projects are available?

Creative Areas

Through TICE projects, young people gain exposure to current industry trends, in areas such as fashion, textiles, graphic design, animation, illustration, photography, and creative writing. These projects give participants a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into real-world tasks and challenges faced by professionals in the creative industries.

Throughout the year, our team is constantly working on new projects with industry professionals, which we will make available for the public to view via our website and social media accounts. Keep an eye out for announcements about the latest project drops!

Will I RECEIVE feedback DURING my TICE Project?

TICE Mentors

An industry mentor provides guidance and support to each TICE project. This mentor is an expert in the area you have selected to explore, and they will review your progress periodically during the course of the project, offering valuable feedback.

FEEDBACK PROCESS

Upon completion of your tasks, you will be sent a notification via email which will notify you that your feedback is now available on your TICE account. Should you require any further guidance, don't hesitate to reach out to your mentor.

HOW LONG ARE TICE PROJECTS And When CaN I do one?

PROJECT DURATION

TICE projects span a period of 10 weeks, with start dates in September, January, April, and July.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Not only is a TICE project an opportunity to learn more about the creative industry, but it's also an amazing way to cultivate time-management skills. Even though 10 weeks may seem like a substantial period, when factoring in the feedback, submissions, and tasks associated with your project, the time flies by. Although this can be dull, it is an essential part of cultivating your professionalism.

What are feedback submissions?

FEEDBACK SUBMISSIONS

With each TICE project, you'll have 3 points at which to seek advice from a mentor in the relevant field. The mentor will provide you with the necessary feedback on your progress, and all input is simply to support your exploration and give you helpful direction.

NO TESTS, NO EXAMS

Unlike many other learning experiences, TICE offers you a chance to discover and investigate your interests, without requiring tedious exams. You'll be able to gain valuable experience in a sector of the workforce that could potentially become your chosen vocation.

DO I NEED ANY RESOURCES TO DO TICE PROJECTS?

TICE RESOURCES

Generally, TICE projects don't necessitate any materials, only the internet and a device to access it from. Nevertheless, certain projects may call for specific items that TICE can dispatch to you (limited to the UK).

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Depending on the type of project, you might need simple craft supplies or to download free software recommended by TICE. If you encounter any difficulty in procuring any item necessary for your project, please contact your project mentor and they will provide helpful suggestions.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHOOSE THE WRONG PROJECT?

Your project choice

When you first register for TICE, we want to ensure that you have selected the correct project. If, however, you desire to switch to another one, we are able to facilitate this request within two weeks of your project start date.

REFUND FOR PROJECTS

In order to receive a refund, it is required that you apply within two weeks of beginning the project and have not submitted any material to your mentor for review.

Students employ their TICE projects for numerous purposes. For instance, they might use it to increase their school-achieved grades for exams, submit for Extended Projects Qualifications, feature in their university applications, or to pursue an art award or fulfill the skill requirements for the Duke of Edinburgh awards. Others might use it simply to indulge their creative passion. The decision is yours.
