Version 5 – Last Updated 14.04.2025

Introduction

Modern slavery, in all its forms—including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking—is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. This is Creative Enterprise (TICE) does not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of its work or supply chain. We are committed to ensuring that everyone who works with or for us is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

Our Commitment

TICE is committed to:

  • Acting ethically and with integrity in all aspects of our operations.

  • Preventing slavery and human trafficking in our activities and supply chains.

  • Promoting respect for human rights and fair treatment across all of our partnerships and business relationships.

We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and require all partners, contractors, and suppliers to comply with these principles.

Due Diligence Processes

To reduce the risk of modern slavery, TICE has:

  • Clear supplier expectations requiring all supply chain partners to uphold human rights and anti-slavery principles.

  • Whistleblowing and reporting channels to ensure concerns can be raised safely and anonymously.

  • Ongoing checks to ensure our suppliers and collaborators understand and comply with our standards.

  • Contractual clauses reinforcing our anti-slavery position where relevant.

Training and Awareness

  • TICE staff and subcontracted team members are inducted with training covering safeguarding, equality, ethical conduct, and awareness of modern slavery risks.

  • Relevant personnel are trained to identify warning signs of exploitation in both domestic and international contexts.

Monitoring Effectiveness

We evaluate our practices using key indicators such as:

  • Employment checks: including right-to-work documentation and regular payroll audits.

  • Supplier reviews: ensuring suppliers continue to meet ethical and legal standards.

  • Policy alignment: ensuring our modern slavery commitments are integrated into our Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, and Recruitment practices.

Our Organisation

TICE is a UK-based creative education organisation that delivers innovative design, digital, and creative programmes for young people and schools. We work across the UK and internationally to foster creativity, build confidence, and prepare the next generation for careers in the creative industries.

How We Work

Our approach is people-focused. We:

  • Operate through partnerships with freelancers, schools, businesses, and creative professionals.

  • Build lasting, ethical relationships across our programmes and supply chain.

  • Strive to set a positive example in every aspect of our operations—from delivery to recruitment.

Continual Improvement

We regularly review our policies, supplier standards, and internal procedures to identify improvements and to strengthen our stance against modern slavery. This statement reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that our organisation and supply chain are free from modern slavery and human trafficking.
